General file format notes
Postscript files are compressed with gzip.
If you don't have gunzip on your machine, executables
for various systems are provided (even for MS-DOS).
Some users report that gsview32 is useful for viewing the
ps.gz files on MS-Windows machines.
Some users of such machines find that if they download a
ps.gz file by http then it does not unzip and
display, but if they download it by ftp, it works fine. To
convert an http URL to an ftp URL, please use the
following pair as an example:
http://www.inference.phy.cam.ac.uk/mng10/GP/gpros.ps.gz
ftp://www.inference.phy.cam.ac.uk/pub/www/mng10/GP/gpros.ps.gz
PDF
files and DJVU files are also
provided for some papers and can, e.g., be viewed with
Acrobat
Reader and djView.
